After six and a half years working for a web development agency it was my time to move on. In November 2006 I finally handed in my resignation. This came as a bit of a shock to my colleagues. I timed this carefully to give myself a good break over the holiday period to clear my head and think about what to do next.
I'm not going to go into details of the reasons I chose to leave, that isn't appropriate here. I will say though that at this very moment I'm more motivated than I have been in years.
With my new found motivation and recharged gumption, I made the decision to go self-employed. While the reasons for this are many, it does give me the opportunity to work on something that is not for any client. Something very exciting that can't be let out of the bag just yet.
